The Task

Redefine Education based on what it means to you. Write your definition as text.

My Idea

The development of new skills and general mental development.
Okay, so I couldn’t forget how I have been defining education for years and simply repeated the words above.
 

Notes

To me, learning is defined as the development of new skills. Most people consider memorizing facts as a form of learning. I do not. To avoid potential confusion, I used “The development of new skills” instead of “learning.” In the future, I might ask for some words to be redefined if I feel that they can clarify answers to an exercise such as this.

My specific definition is mine and should not be passed off as anyone else’s, but similar definitions are not. Unless otherwise specified, similar guidelines should apply to definitions from other contributors.
